Hello Friends!
I would just like to know what you guys think about random people coming up to you and starting a conversation while you're in the middle of an exercise. Last saturday when I was outside lifting stones some scrappy random guy comes up to me and starts asking a million and one questions about what I'm doing. Some of his questions had merit like when he asked if lifting stones was bad for your back; or how and why one would lift stones in the first place. He then proceeded to go on and on about the material of the stone, think about that for a second... What are STONES made of?... (smash keyboard with forehead) and all sorts of experiences he had with machines and yadda yadda yadda I got a massive object in front of me I'm trying to lift I really don't care, man! On the other hand, I don't wanna be an ogre about it, and I do want to spread the word about what we do, so I told him that when it comes to lifting anything, positioning is key. Then I told him about our site, and crossfit.com, and the fact that I'm a member of a local fitness community and not some random nutjob with a few screws loose who gets his rocks off by lifting shit. Anyway, I'd like to know how any of you guys would have handled that situation!
Thanks,
